Persian Myth says that the Platycladus Tree had been filled with pride.  The more it grew upward, the more it saw itself higher than others.  Once it neared God, up in the skies, the Platycladus Tree realized how insignificant it truly was in relation to all of creation.  This awareness made the Platycladus Tree bow its’ head all the way back down to earth with groundedness.  Thus, the Paisley.

The Chinese concept of Yin and Yang is profound for me.  There is lightness in darkness and darkness in lightness.  In today’s polarization of good vs. evil and right vs. wrong, I feel more gravitated towards this concept of interdependency.
